What is Aikido?

Aikido translates as ‘the way of harmonising with energy’. Aikido does not involve fighting, or learning how to fight. It does not even require lots of strength. It is about calmness, composure, balance and movement.

Our Ethos

We are keen to broaden the appeal of Aikido as a means of improving physical health, mental wellbeing, and social harmony. Our teaching is based on a series of easy-to-learn flowing movements that make Aikido accessible to all.
